This sentimental treasure was crafted in the mid- to late 19th century, and has an elaborate, three- dimensional, oval openwork design, with scrolled motifs. It has a definitive Etrsucan influence, popular in Victorian times. Four large, concentric crescent moons are emblazoned with the most stunning, highly detailed hand chasing and engraving- scrolling acanthus leaves flowing into a “love knot” design. The Niello noir guilloche (black enamel) work a further testament to the many days of laboured fine, artisinal craft. A central oval bull’s eye agate is flanked by small turqouise accent stones.
